No disrespect to Georgia State or San Jose State, but the Cure Bowl probably wins my award for”game I am least likely to watch.” Then again, 7pm EST on a Saturday, I may find myself locked in during an exciting fourth quarter.
Both of these teams have a lot to celebrate with this bowl appearance. The Georgia State Panthers come in at 6-6, after only winning one game in 2014. The Panthers come into the Cure Bowl riding a four game winning streak to become bowl eligible.
The San Jose State Spartans, come in at 5-7, with an opportunity to end a losing season on a positive note and double their win total from 2014.
San Jose State comes in as 5-1 as a favorite ATS and Georgia State comes in as 7-3 as an underdog ATS.
Overall the Cure Bowl should be fun. Both teams will be excited to play this game as they look towards building their programs for the future.
San Jose State will have to slow down the Panthers aerial attack led by quarterback Nick Arbuckle, who has thrown for 4,160 yards so far this season. The San Jose State defense does rank second in the nation allowing only 153 passing yards a game.
The Spartans are led by running back Tyler Evans who comes in with over 1,400 yard rushing.
Personally, this game should be interesting, but there is no way I would recommend that anyone bets on the three point spread on this game, which is San Jose State -3. However if I was forced to wager, I’d go with the OVER 57.
(San Jose State 38 Georgia State 31)
San Jose State Spartans -3
