Baltimore Orioles at Houston Astros
Projected Starters: Orioles: Chris Tilman vs Astros: Charlie Morton 7pm EST
Since joining the American League in 2013 the Astros are 5-0 in home openers and have won all five of those games by at least two runs. This game, will be a home opener like no other for Houston. The Astros will be honored before a sellout crowd, where their World Series banner will be raised and rings will be unveiled.
Emotions will be high, but Charlie Morton will be starting for Houston. Morton was the winning pitcher of last seasons World Series game seven, where he allowed one run over the final four innings, killing any late hopes the Dodgers had.
The Orioles will start Chris Tillman. Tillman was 1-7 with a 7.84 earned run average while dealing with some shoulder soreness last season. Chris Tillman is coming off of an underwhelming spring training where he was 1-1 with an 8.03 ERA and only four stikeouts over 12 1/3 innings.
I expect Houston to roll.
My Pick: Houston Astros (-1.5) Two Units
